Job summary
Burtech Family Vineyard is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven wine professional to join our Sonoma location team in Kenwood, CA. This full-time role focuses on outstanding guest experiences, premium wine and food service, and growing wine club memberships while participating in events across Sonoma County and the Bay Area.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Valid RBS Alcohol Server Certification.
- Valid Food Handler Certification.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Weekend, evening, and holiday availability.
Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, polished hospitality to guests and lead educational wine tastings.
- Take guest orders, coordinate with kitchen, and ensure seamless food and wine service.
- Promote wine sales, club memberships, and merchandise; upsell where appropriate.
- Represent the winery at events and off-site activations; support events setup and teardown.
- Open/close tasting room and manage POS transactions; maintain cleanliness and organization.

- Deliver warm, polished, and engaging hospitality to all guests
- Lead educational wine tastings and present wines confidently and enthusiastically
- Build meaningful guest relationships that encourage return visits and club loyalty
- Maintain detailed knowledge of wines, vineyard history, winemaking, and current offerings
- Take guest orders for pizza, salads, charcuterie boards, wine, and merchandise
- Communicate orders with kitchen staff
- Deliver food and wine service efficiently and professionally
- Coordinate timing between tasting experiences and food service
- Maintain high presentation and sanitation standards for all food offerings
- Promote wine sales, merchandise, and wine club memberships
- Process wine orders for in-house, take-out, and shipping customers
- Confidently upsell wines, food pairings, and club memberships
- Support sales goals and help grow overall brand visibility
- Represent the winery at events, pop-ups, and community activations
- Open and close the tasting room and hospitality areas
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, and operational preparation
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems (C7)
- Support inventory organization and merchandise displays
- Participate in shared daily facility cleaning duties, including:
- Dishwashing and polishing glassware
- Sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and restroom upkeep
- Maintaining the cleanliness of guest-facing and back-of-house areas
- At least 21
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid RBS Alcohol Server Certification
- Valid Food Handler Certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required
- A passion for wine
- Hospitality, restaurant, winery, or tasting room experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales experience with upselling ability preferred
- Wine club or membership sales experience is a plus
- Experience with POS systems (Commerce7 experience preferred)
- Self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented
