Job summary

Restaurant Associates at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA is seeking an organized administrative professional to support food service programs. You will handle clerical tasks, file maintenance and help manage payroll/documents with discretion.

Preferred candidates have prior administrative experience in hospitality; catering/events experience is required. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected, with both full-time and part-time schedules offered.

Qualifications

• Previous administrative experience in the hospitality field is preferred.
• Previous catering/events experience is required.
• Evening, weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones and direct inquiries professionally.
• Maintain confidential personnel files.
• Assist management with confidential employment documents.
• Assist staffing when employees call out on short notice.
• Work with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, parents and supervisor.
• Maintain records of eligible students for free/reduced lunches if applicable.
• Enter weekly cash sales and meal counts using a computer.
• Perform daily bank deposit reconciliation.
• Process vendor invoices and check pricing against bid specs.
• Prepare monthly state claim forms and end-of-month financial reports.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings; ensure safe work environment.
