Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality in Phoenix is seeking an Accounting Manager to support Accounts Payable/Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, and financial reporting for the Arizona Biltmore property. You will ensure GAAP compliance, manage month-end close, internal controls, and collaborate with department leaders to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.

A Bachelor's in Accounting or related field and 3–5 years of accounting experience are required, with 1–2 years of supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze financial results and identify trends, risks, opportunities, and unusual variances requiring management attention.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, USALI, corporate accounting policies, and ownership reporting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reviews, forecasts, and annual operating budgets.
• Maintain a strong system of internal controls designed to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk.
• Monitor compliance related to cash handling, purchasing, inventory controls, payroll administration, and capital expenditures.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and lead efforts to resolve findings and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, licensing requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Partner with department leaders to improve financial performance and drive accountability for results.
• Support operational leaders through financial analysis, productivity reviews, and profitability assessments.
• Provide guidance and recommendations regarding cost containment, revenue enhancement, and process efficiencies.
• Assist with ownership reporting, capital project tracking, and special financial analyses as required.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve controls, and leverage technology to increase efficiency.
• Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and special projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within accounting and finance operations.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
