Hospitalist Needed in Beautiful Western, NC

UNC Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. UNC Physician Network provides the majority of primary care and select specialty care to our market from thirteen separate medical park locations throughout the county. Our 137-bed licensed hospital is a member of the UNC Health System located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains.

Position Details:

1. Work with a team of experienced and highly skilled physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
2. Focus on teamwork, work-life balance, and flexibility.
3. Standardized documentation and extensive resources to ensure maximal efficiency and support while minimizing unnecessary and time-consuming duties.
4. 12-hour shifts, 7 on 7 off rotation, 7a-7p. NO NIGHTS; there is a dedicated nocturnist.
5. Open ICU with onsite Critical Care/Intensivist. Procedures optional but not required (training available).
6. Opportunities for professional growth within the UNC Health System.
7. EMR - Epic.
8. In-house specialty backup available from Cardiology, Nephrology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Pulmonology, Podiatry, Urology.
