Hospitalist Needed in Beautiful Western, NC

UNC Caldwell is the preferred healthcare provider in Caldwell County. The Emergency Department handles approximately 30,000 visits annually. UNC Physician Network offers primary care and select specialty services across thirteen medical park locations throughout the county. Our 137-bed licensed hospital is part of the UNC Health System, situated in the scenic Blue Ridge mountains.

Position Details:

1. Work collaboratively with a team of experienced physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
2. Emphasize teamwork, work-life balance, and flexibility.
3. Utilize standardized documentation and extensive resources to maximize efficiency and reduce unnecessary duties.
4. 12-hour shifts on a 7 on/7 off rotation, from 7a to 7p. No night shifts, as a dedicated nocturnist covers overnight hours.
5. Open ICU with onsite Critical Care/Intensivist support. Procedures are optional but training is available.
6. Opportunities for professional growth within the UNC Health System.
7. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system: Epic.
8. In-house specialty backup available from Cardiology, Nephrology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Pulmonology, Podiatry, and Urology.
9. Location: 321 Mulberry Street, SW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
