Job summary

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine seeks a clinical faculty member in Internal Medicine to join the Hospitalist division. The role primarily provides hospital-based clinical services at Chandler and Good Samaritan Hospitals and contributes to the Health Enterprise practice.

The candidate will have teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents, participate in rounds and conferences, and serve on committees to improve patient care and operations within the division.

Qualifications

• MD Degree or Equivalent.
• Completion of residency in Internal Medicine.
• Internal Medicine Board certified or eligible for KY Medical License at employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-based clinical services for hospitalists at Chandler and Good Samaritan Hospitals and the Hospital Medicine division’s clinical practice at the University of Kentucky Health Enterprise.
• Provide clinical teaching and advising to medical students and trainees in other departments throughout the College of Medicine.
• Lead division and department clinical activities such as grand rounds, morning report, and noon conference, and serve on clinical committees that enhance patient care and operations.
