Job summary

University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio, seeks Internal Medicine physicians at Assistant or Associate Professor level for inpatient services at UC Medical Center with teaching activities in the Graduate Medical Education program.

Positions involve direct patient care on inpatient wards and teaching residents and medical students; swing shifts and overnight coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree is required.
• Completion of a three-year internal medicine residency.
• Licensure by the State of Ohio Medical Board is required.
• Active DEA license is required.

Responsibilities

• Admit and workup new medical patients.
• Monitor progress of admitted patients and adjust therapy as needed.
• Teach residents and medical students on inpatient rounds and consult services.
• Supervise APPs in the Short Stay Unit and lead rapid response/code blue teams.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical process initiatives.
