Sound Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Night Physician Assistant to join our Bridgeton, Missouri team. The nocturnist will work overnight shifts, collaborating with two physicians to manage admissions and respond to critical alerts.

Ideal candidates are board-certified PAs with inpatient hospitalist experience or hospital-based PA background, and in‑training rotations may be required for new graduates. US work authorization is required.

We are hiring for a Part‑Time Night APP position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration

• At Bridgeton, our strong, collaborative team includes 28 physicians and 4 APPs at SSM Health DePaul. We also have the support of three clinical performance nurses, one hospital coordinator, and one program manager.
• As a team, we value our collaboration with the nursing staff and specialists throughout the hospital. Patients are our top priority, and we do a great job of always keeping that focus at the forefront.
• Excellent subspecialty support.

Qualifications

• Board certification required.
• Prior hospitalist inpatient strongly preferred, or hospital-based experience as a Physician Assistant.
• If a new grad PA, inpatient rotations during training in hospital medicine are required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling

• This role is for a part‑time nocturnist 7 p-7 a coverage with the expectation of approximately 7-night shifts per month.
• Block schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• This position will collaborate with two nocturnist physicians on the night shift, managing admissions and responding to rapid responses and stroke alerts.
• We welcome the challenge of highly complex cases. Our ICU is closed. Procedures and codes are not required, and we are grateful for 24/7 in‑house specialty support in all but just a few specialty areas.
