Ascension Via Christi Hospital, Manhattan, KS, is seeking a hospitalist to join a close-knit team of 4 physicians and 3 APPs. The role focuses on admissions, utilization management, and improving patient satisfaction.

The position offers a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule with flexibility for time off, and opportunities to lead performance initiatives in collaboration with the hospitalist director. Open ICU with teleintensivists; no procedures but run codes and rapid response.

Qualifications

• ABIM or ABFM certification required.
• Strong communication and collaboration with APPs.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa waivers not provided.

Responsibilities

• Round on patients with admissions.
• Support hospitalist utilization management, compliance, and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the hospitalist Director on performance initiatives (length of stay, readmissions).
• Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings.
• Open ICU with teleintensivists; run codes and rapid responses.

Scheduling:

• 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule with flexibility for time off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Round on patients with admissions.
• Help support the hospitalist team's efforts in utilization management, compliance, clinical documentation improvement, and patient satisfaction at Ascension Via Christi Hospital, Manhattan.
• Collaborate with the hospitalist Director on performance improvement initiatives such as length of stay, readmissions, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings.
• Open ICU with teleintensivists. No procedures but run codes and rapid response.
