Job summary

Affinity Home Health Care Inc. is seeking an OB/GYN hospitalist to provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care across multiple locations.

The role operates within a 24/7 hospitalist program with shared coverage and a collaborative team of specialists. The ideal candidate holds board certification in obstetrics and gynecology, holds an active Minnesota medical license, and maintains current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with OB/GYN board certification is required.
• Active, unrestricted medical license with MN authorization is required.
• Current BLS certification from AHA/ARC or in-house training is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including labor, delivery, and postpartum management.
• Serve as a key member of a 24/7 hospitalist program with rotating day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage.
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, OB/GYN physicians, CNMs and nursing staff for coordinated care.
• Manage diverse patient populations from routine pregnancies to urgent operative deliveries.
• Utilize Epic (Excellian) within a flexible hospitalist model to ensure high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including labor, delivery, postpartum management, and obstetric emergencies.
• Serving as a vital member of a 24/7 hospitalist program with shared day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage.
• Collaborating with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, OB/GYN physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine OB physicians, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, team-based care.
• Managing a diverse patient population, from routine pregnancies to complex maternal cases requiring urgent operative deliveries.
• Utilizing Epic (Excellian) within a flexible hospitalist model to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications And Skills Include

• MD, DO, or equivalent training with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Active, non-restricted medical license, with ability to obtain MN DEA certification and NPI.
• Current BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or in-house training.
• Ability to meet credentialing and hospital privilege requirements.
