Affinity Home Health Care Inc. seeks an inpatient obstetrics and gynecology hospitalist for a busy 411-bed hospital serving roughly 350,000 residents.

The role involves evaluating and treating patients, coordinating discharge planning, and collaborating with case management. The candidate must be board certified or eligible in OB/GYN, be licensed (or eligible) in the state with DEA, and hold an MD or DO degree.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in obstetrics & gynecology.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure and DEA registration in the state.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical services to patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with case management.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure cost-effective care.
• Accept referrals, act as admitting or consulting physician, and support inpatient and outpatient consultations, including on-call duties.
• Contribute to academic programs such as medical education and research.
• Maintain proper documentation and appeal insurance denials as needed.
