Job summary

BAS HealthCare in Hartford, CT seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a hospitalist team providing full-spectrum inpatient care: triage, admit, round, discharge, and adjust care as patients' status changes.

New graduates are welcome; 1+ year hospital medicine preferred. The role offers a full-time daytime schedule with no on-call requirements and robust support through Advanced Practice leadership and EPIC-based informatics.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Connecticut medical license or eligible.
• Board-certified or board-eligible PA or Acute Care NP.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, and discharging.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner (APRN) sought to join a large, vibrant, and growing hospitalist team
• Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status
• Setting: Inpatient medicine, hospitalist
• Schedule: Full-time days with a flexible schedule and premium differentials offered
• No call required
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians and care team members, including referrals to specialists
• Identify problems outside scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician
• New graduates are welcome to apply; 1+ year of hospital medicine experience preferred
• Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
• Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care certified Nurse Practitioner
• Comprehensive orientation provided by experienced Physician and Advanced Practice Hospitalists
• Dedicated support through the Office of Advanced Practice for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
• Utilizes EPIC and state-of-the-art clinical informatics technology to promote improved patient outcomes
