Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a hospitalist team. The program is seasoned and growing, and the successful Advanced Practitioner will provide full-spectrum inpatient care, including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status.

New and experienced providers are supported by a comprehensive orientation provided by our exceptional Physician and Advanced Practice

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible CT PA or NP.
• Experience in internal medicine or hospitalist setting preferred.
• Ability to triage and admit patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding and discharging.
• Address changes in clinical status and coordinate with the care team.
• Participate in orientation for new providers.

Nurse Practitioner And Physician Assistants Role Scope

Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Advanced Practitioners perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.

In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.

Advanced Practitioners provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.

Qualifications
