Qualifications

• 1+ year of Advanced Practice experience in a hospitalist or similar setting required.
• Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible).
• Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care-certified).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical plans.
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians.
• Provide treatment within scope and refer outside issues to a physician.

Job Details

• Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant sought for a collaborative Advanced Practice team delivering high‑quality inpatient care.
• Setting: Inpatient medicine, hospitalist.
• Schedule: Full‑time nights with premium differentials and incentives offered.
• No call required.
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians and care team members, including referrals to specialists.
• Provide appropriate treatment for problems within scope of practice and refer outside‑of‑scope issues to a physician as needed.
• Practice with significant clinical autonomy and a wide clinical scope in a smaller, community‑focused setting.
• Dedicated support through the Office of Advanced Practice for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
• Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible).
• Certification: Board‑certified or board‑eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care‑certified).
• Experience: Minimum 1+ year of Advanced Practice experience in a hospitalist or similar setting required.
