Job summary

BAS HealthCare in Vernon, CT is seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a collaborative Advanced Practice team delivering high-quality inpatient care in a community-focused hospital.

This role entails working full-time nights with no call required, performing physical examinations, developing treatment plans, and practicing with clinical autonomy. Candidates must hold an unrestricted Connecticut Medical License and be board certified or eligible.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Advanced Practice experience in a hospitalist or similar setting required.
• Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible).
• Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care-certified).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical plans.
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians.
• Provide treatment within scope and refer outside issues to a physician.
