Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join a busy inpatient-focused practice in Indianapolis, supported by a strong referral base and the resources of a large nonprofit health system.

You will be part of an established team of physicians and APPs, with weekly call and GI fellowship required. This opportunity offers long-term stability within a physician-led network and mission-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO credentialed in Indiana or eligible for Indiana license.
• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
• Board certification or eligibility in GI.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Participate in an established GI team for inpatient care.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Join an established team of 6 physicians and 3 APPs
• Call structure: Each week of service will include two nights of call
• Practice setting: Mostly inpatient
• Access to tenured physicians and APPs
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills
• Eligible for Indiana state medical license and DEA registration
• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
