Job summary

Ascension is seeking an experienced physician to join as an employed GI hospitalist in Austin, TX. Inpatient only with clinic optional, 7 on 7 off schedule, serving a busy referral-based practice within a major health system.

Must be ERCP GI trained; EUS training is a plus and may be required. Licensed in Texas with MD/DO credentials; opportunity to grow in a nonprofit Catholic health system.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board required before hire.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient GI hospitalist coverage on a 7-on/7-off schedule.
• Collaborate with APPs and hospital teams to coordinate patient care.
• Endoscopy and GI procedures as part of inpatient service within Ascension system.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:
