Healthcare United is seeking aBoard Certified Hospitalist for a full-time opportunity in Trumbull Area, Connecticut. This role combines Internal Medicine resident teaching with Assistant Program Director responsibilities in a community teaching hospital.

The position centers on clinical education with dedicated time for residency administration and program development, and entails teaching residents and coordinating education with faculty and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
• Active Connecticut medical license or eligibility.
• Experience in graduate medical education or residency program leadership.
• Experience in curriculum development, resident evaluation, or academic program administration.
• Record of scholarly activity, presentations, research, or publications.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise Internal Medicine residents caring for acutely ill adults.
• Help develop curriculum, scholarly work, research, and quality improvement activities.
• Coordinate resident and medical student educational activities with clinical supervision.
• Provide resident mentorship, feedback, assessment, and academic progress evaluation.
