Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider II for per diem, part-time coverage in the Department of Internal Medicine – Hospitalist Service. You will evaluate, treat, and manage acute and chronic illness, order tests, develop treatment plans, and provide medication management.

Qualificações

• Licensed NY NP with current NP certification or eligibility.
• NCCPA certification for PA or NP licensure in NY required or eligible.
• Master’s or higher degree in Nursing or PA Studies.

Provides continued care throughout the patient's medical journey. Educates and mentors Advanced Practice Provider I and additional clinical staff including, nursing, residents, fellows, and other healthcare interns and students. Characteristic of the position is the short, unscheduled notice associated with reporting for duty, the variable nature of the hours worked per payroll period and temporary nature of appointments to this title and the fact that this is a non-benefit earning title.The pay rate for this position is $78.76 hourly which includes a geographic differential.Qualifications:Required Education and ExperienceNurse Practitioner Educational Path:1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and2. Current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification; and3. Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA); and4. Master’s or higher-level degree in Nursing.NOTE:As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) within nine (9) months of their appointment to this title as required by Medicare.ORPhysician Assistant Educational Path:1. License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York; and2. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department; and3. Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies; or4. Bachelor’s or higher-level degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department.ANDThe equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park.NOTE:1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.2.
