Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for Head & Neck Medical Oncology. The APP will evaluate, treat, and manage patients across illness stages, order tests, develop plans, and educate junior staff in a dynamic cancer center.

Two career tracks exist (NP or PA), with certification requirements and a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration. Competitive salary with geographic differential and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Provides continued care throughout the patient's medical journey. Educates and mentors Advanced Practice Provider I and additional clinical staff including, nursing, residents, fellows, and other healthcare interns and students.This position includes a base salary and geographic differential. The total combined starting rate for the Advanced Practice Provider I (Grade 28) is $126,102 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.The total combined starting salary for the Advanced Practice Provider II (Grade 30) is $138,732 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. To qualify for the Advanced Practice Provider II (Grade 30) the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park is required.Qualifications:Required Education and ExperienceNurse Practitioner Educational Path:1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and2. Current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification; and3. Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA); and4. Master’s or higher-level degree in Nursing.NOTE:As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) within nine (9) months of their appointment to this title as required by Medicare.ORPhysician Assistant Educational Path:1. License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York; and2. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department; and3. Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies; or4. Bachelor’s or higher-level degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department.ANDNurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Educational Path:The equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park.NOTE:1.
