Job summary

LifeBridge Health, including Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Services Coordinator to manage recruitment, screening, placement and recognition of volunteers across hospital operations. The role focuses on ensuring compliant, well-trained volunteers across departments to support patient care and community outreach.

The position emphasizes maintaining volunteer records, coordinating communications, and fostering partnerships with hospital teams to meet service needs

Responsibilities

• Recruits, screens and assigns qualified, appropriate volunteers based on departmental requests/criteria.
• Ensures that all volunteers are trained and oriented to hospital, position and department per hospital policy.
• Ensures that volunteers comply with hospital policies, environment of care competencies and requirements of federal regulatory agencies i.e. Joint Commission standards.
• Oversees the maintenance of accurate files and records on all volunteers.
• Effectively utilizes software to track all aspects of volunteers: hours, health records (PPD), orientation and training.
• Develops and implements recognition and awards program for hospital volunteers.
• Coordinates annual awards program luncheon. Provides oversight for special programs and projects.
• Communicates regularly with volunteers concerning hospital via internal communication and mailings to volunteers.
• Coordinates the supply and delivery of marketing materials for Admission Folders so they are stocked for delivery throughout the hospital.
• Builds trustworthy relationships with hospital departments to understand their volunteer needs and fulfill where appropriate.
