Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore is seeking a Unit Associate to support the safe and efficient delivery of healthcare services. In this fast-paced role, you will work with Nurses and the Unit Coordinator to stock Pyxis and supply carts, monitor expirations, and ensure patient rooms are stocked with linens and supplies.

You will restock supply rooms, maintain a clean work environment, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/ urgent situations and to follow established procedures
• Knowledge of and familiarity with hospital equipment, supplied and procedures (highly preferred)
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with inter‑professional staff, patients, families, visitors and other hospital employees
• General office, communication equipment, cleaning equipment, knowledge of keyboarding and basic Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Stock items to Pyxis and supply carts and monitor expiration dates.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked with supplies and linens.
• Restock supply rooms and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with Nurses and Unit Coordinator on duties.
