Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Nursing Unit Assistant to support patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned units under the Nurse Manager. You will help with admissions, discharges and transfers and ensure smooth patient flow, while contributing to a safe and compassionate care environment.

The full-time position follows a rotating shift including every other Sunday and evening hours (7pm–11pm on weekdays).

Qualifications

• Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Three to six months previous related experience

Responsibilities

• Provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units under the Nurse Manager.
• Facilitates efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care.
• Provides reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.
