Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Transporter to move patients, medical records, mail, specimens and equipment throughout the facility, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

You will transport inpatients and outpatients within the facility, deliver equipment and specimens using the pneumatic tube system, assist patients and visitors with directions, and maintain transportation and cleaning standards; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent training.
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Strong oral and written communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Transports inpatients and outpatients within the facility.
• Delivers equipment, materials and specimens to requesting departments.
• Acts as hospital ambassador, guiding patients and visitors.
• Keeps transportation equipment clean and in good working order.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
