Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon is seeking a Switchboard Operator for the 3rd shift on a part-time basis. The role operates the switchboard to relay calls and monitors codes, alarms, and security systems, updating physician and department sign-ins as needed.

Responsibilities include initiating long distance calls for physicians, maintaining lists, monitoring panels, paging codes, relaying messages, and updating procedures.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Initiates long distance calls for physicians.
• Maintains listing of all physicians, administrators and department directors.
• Maintains on call list for all physicians.
• Monitors fire panel and pharmacy panel.
• Operates switchboard to accurately relay all calls received at the Health Center and has taken on message centre.
• Pages all "Codes" reported to the operator in a clear and concise manner.
• Pages over intercom as requested.
• Records and relays messages for physicians.
• Updates and maintains procedures for all codes.
