Job summary

HCA Healthcare at St. David's South Austin Medical Center seeks a Supply Inventory Technician to ensure timely delivery and accurate stocking of supplies within the facility.

You will manage Min/Max safety stock, perform regular inventories in POU areas, and enter data into the SMART system while coordinating with nurses and department staff to avoid stockouts. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork in a busy hospital environment, contributing to high-quality patient

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED.
• Prior stock clerk experience preferred.
• Some hospital supply experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver supplies accurately and timely.
• Transport and deliver medications and related items.
• Place safety stock in proper locations.
• Receive expedited deliveries and record in the SMART system.
• Log cross-docked items into SMART as needed.
• Review Min/Max safety stock levels daily.
• Count par levels in POU areas weekly.
• Ensure barcodes on POU items.
• Perform QA checks on totes per policy.
• Rotate stock in POU and storeroom areas.
• Check after-hour logs to avoid reoccurrence.
• Respond to POU critical point messages and stockouts.
• Process returns to vendor or backup stock.
• Assist POU Station personnel and nurses with problems.
