The role of Stationary Engineer Assistant—Day Shift—supports the maintenance team by inspecting and maintaining chillers, boilers, and air handling equipment to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• Basic technical knowledge from vocational training.
• Up to one year of on‑the‑job training.
• Must have valid Ohio driver’s license.
• General knowledge of boilers, circulating pumps and valves.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and log readings for chillers, AHUs, pumps and pneumatic control panels.
• Perform maintenance and repairs during off hours when the department is closed.
• Maintain chemical feed systems and add chemicals as directed by the engineer on duty.
• Clean boiler, boiler room and equipment room; perform related custodial duties as needed.
• Assist the grounds department with parking lots, sidewalks and shrub care; snow removal in winter.
