Job summary

Quail Run Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to manage department staffing for nursing units and support the CNO. This role ensures adequate coverage, handles PTO calls, and coordinates with nursing leaders to maintain acuity-based staffing.

You will review staffing with the CNO, generate weekly overtime and temporary agency reports, and help sustain a stable, patient-centered care environment across inpatient units.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience as a Staffing Coordinator required; 3 to 5 years preferred.
• Handle With Care and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers required. Training offered at the facility.
• Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate staffing for all nursing units, considering acuity, and coordinate with CNO/Nurse Managers/House Supervisors as needed.
• Review staffing with CNO to ensure adherence to acuity and to implement changes; provide weekly overtime, 1:1 status, and temporary agency usage reports to CFO.
