Job summary

WMHS is seeking a Remote Hospital Services Technician to support customer healthcare facilities on-site. This role requires physical presence and a commitment to a regular service schedule, with shifts typically 4 to 6 hours and 16–20 hours per week.

The position involves monitoring and exchanging waste containers across programs such as Sharps, Pharmaceutical Waste, and Document Management, while maintaining professionalism with on-site staff.

Qualifications

• Requires on-site presence at WMHS customer locations and compliance with mandatory immunization requirements.
• 2 years industry related customer service experience preferred or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides service to one or more customers' healthcare facilities, proactively monitoring, collecting, and exchanging waste containers per programs (Sharps, Pharmaceutical Waste, CS & Document Management).
• Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule.
• Communicates duty status on a defined schedule.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Remote Hospital Services Technician

(This is NOT a Work From Home Position)

Working 16 to 20 hrs a week

I. Job Summary

Under management direction, a Remote Hospital Services Technician provides service to a customer healthcare facility located outside the boundaries of service established for existing service teams. These healthcare facilities most often are located within a small labor market, and are considered remote to normal business operations. Often, the remote facility is an hour away from other healthcare facilities serviced by the Company. Remote Hospital Service Technicians generally work a minimum of 10 hours or less per week. Team members within the local small labor market typically are responsible to service a single healthcare facility.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides service to one or more customers' healthcare facilities, proactively monitoring, collecting, and exchanging waste containers consistent with the various Stericycle programs and services, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substance and Document Management.


• Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.


• Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule.


• Communicates duty status on a defined scheduled.


• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

• This position requires on-site presence at WMHS customer locations and compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements imposed by such customers, and


• 2 years industry related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in a variety of settings and situations or preferred education requirement

• Position requires extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing. Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing as much as 500 pounds.

Field: This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require the successful candidate to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols. As part of the ongoing employment requirements, the successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing—including pre-employment screening, post-incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

• Shift Days: Mondays, Wedensdays & Fridays
