Shriners Children's in Spokane is seeking a full-time Sr. Cook to prepare meals for patients, visitors and staff, directing a team of cooks and food service staff. You will ensure safe, sanitary production and adherence to recipes, portion control and dietary needs.

Responsibilities include planning cooking schedules, enforcing food safety guidelines, guiding servers on portions, and assisting with new menu items. A WA State Food Handlers Card and high school diploma are required.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED with WA State Food Handlers Card.
• Preferred: 2 years' experience in medical, university or corporate dining with a HACCP program.

Responsabilidades

• Plan cooking schedule and quantities to ensure meals are ready on time and meet quality standards.
• Maintain food safety guidelines for cooking, reheating, and storage temperatures.
• Guide servers on portion sizes and serving techniques for each item.
• Understand modified diets and refer to the department diet manual when questions arise.
• Prepare food and beverages for cafeteria, special events and meetings in the hospital.
• Clean and sanitize the work area daily using the appropriate sanitizing solution.
• Assist Supervisor with evaluating and creating new recipes and train staff on food service techniques.
