Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Washington State Food Workers Permit required.
• Culinary School graduate preferred.
• ServSafe Food Safety Certificate preferred.
• 3 years experience in institutional cooking preferred.
• 1 year experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates all kitchen equipment correctly and trains others as needed.
• Ensures that food is ready at specified times.
• Ensures that patient allergies, diet orders and preferences are followed, obtains clarification from dietitian if needed.
• Maintains a clean and organized kitchen and work spaces.
• Complies with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintains accurate records including patient meal counts, temperatures, and food amounts prepared, food leftover.
• Operates cash register proficiently.
