Job summary

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 0–1 years of security experience, and certifications (Act 235 and BLS) within six months.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
0–1 years of relevant security experience.
Certification under Pennsylvania Act 235 to be obtained within six months of employment.
BLS Certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

Patrol hospital premises for security, safety, and fire protection.
Staff designated security posts to provide protection, access control, and assistance.
Provide protective escorts for individuals and hospital property as needed.
Conduct fire protection and safety inspections.
Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and fire alarms with appropriate action.
Conduct preliminary investigations of alleged criminal activity on hospital property.
Identify, remove, or apprehend unauthorized or suspicious individuals.
Complete daily operational and incident reports.
Maintain confidentiality of all information obtained through the course of work.
Interact professionally and courteously with patients, visitors, and staff.
