Penn Medicine Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a Security Officer I to protect patients, staff, and visitors while patrolling campuses and responding to incidents. This role supports safe environments, incident reporting, and collaboration with clinical teams during emergencies.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and certifications in BLS and de-escalation training, with background checks such as ACT 235 clearance.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• ACT 235 Clearance or within six months of hire required.
• BLS Certification or within six months of hire required.
• De-escalation training (CPI or HWC) or within six months of hire required.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol hospital buildings, grounds, and parking areas to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, security breaches, and fire/life safety hazards.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and hospital condition codes.
• Investigate and document incidents, suspicious activity, and safety concerns.
• Assist staff, patients, and visitors while providing exceptional customer service.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical teams during emergency situations.
• Support crime prevention and security awareness initiatives.
• Following required certifications, assist with de-escalation of volatile situations and other security interventions.
