Job summary

SGMC Health in Valdosta, GA is seeking a PRN Security Officer to protect patients, staff, and facilities on the main campus. You will enforce hospital rules, conduct patrols of the Emergency Department, and respond to alarms with professionalism.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and POST certification with Georgia SOS registration. Prior security experience is a plus, and on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• POST certification and Georgia Secretary of State registration required.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Enforces hospital rules and regulations.
• Patrols the Emergency Department area to protect people and assets.
• Responds quickly to alarms and monitors security systems as needed.
• Assists patients, visitors and staff in safety and security matters.
