Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect patients, visitors and staff. The role includes routine patrols, incident response, de-escalation of aggressive behavior, and detailed reporting in accordance with policy.

Training in defensive tactics and safety procedures is required. The candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED, a GA driver’s license, and BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and valid GA Driver's License.
• BLS certification is required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years security/military/police background is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and random tours of the facility and grounds.
• Respond to incidents and investigate security events and hazards.
• Conduct drills and document results per NGHS policies.
• Operate and monitor CCTV and alarm systems; report findings daily.
• Provide customer service and assist patients, visitors and staff as needed.
