Job summary

Kettering Health Preble in Eaton is seeking a full-time Police Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. You will respond to emergencies, patrol proactively, and enforce hospital policies and laws, aligning with Kettering Health's mission and values.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, OPOTA training, Ohio driver’s license, BLS and crisis intervention certifications, and firearms qualifications. Must be 21+ and able to pass fitness for duty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• OPOTA certification and completion of OPOTA Basic Training Academy
• BLS certification within six months of hire
• Non-violent crisis intervention training within six months of hire
• Firearms qualification with bi-annual refresh
• Valid Ohio driver’s license
• Minimum age 21 and fitness for duty per applicable law

Responsibilities

• Provide law enforcement services to patients, visitors, and staff in a hospital setting
• Respond to emergencies and enforce hospital policies and laws
• Conduct proactive patrols and incident response to support patient care and operational reliability
• Engage with the community and support mission, vision, and values
• Perform additional duties as assigned
