Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of the Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Academy (OPOTA).
Valid Ohio driver's license.
OPOTA certification.
BLS certification within six months of hire.
Non-violent crisis intervention training within six months of hire.
Firearms qualification (bi-annual).
Must be at least 21 years old and pass a fitness-for-duty examination.

Responsibilities

The Police Officer ensures a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by providing law enforcement services, responding to emergencies, and enforcing hospital policies.
Supports patient care and operational reliability through proactive patrols, incident response, and community engagement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
