Job summary

University of Southern California Verdugo Hills Hospital in Los Angeles is seeking a Security Manager to oversee security personnel and implement the hospital's Security Management Plan, ensuring a safe, compliant environment for patients and staff.

The role involves collaboration with local law enforcement and participation in Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness teams to uphold Keck Medicine of USC safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Criminology, Communication or Business Administration.
• Education may be substituted by 3+ years of Leadership experience.
• 3 years minimum in security, parking, emergency management or related field.
• 2 years supervisory or managerial experience, preferably in healthcare.
• 2 years progressively responsible security systems experience.
• Experience in hospital security is preferred.
• Knowledge of CAL-OSHA, HIPAA, DNV, CMS and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security personnel and implementation of the Security Management Plan.
• Ensure delivery of quality security services and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and eliminate unsafe conditions or threats.
• Serve on Environment of Care Committee, Emergency Preparedness and Threat Management teams.
• Collaborate with Glendale Police Department and LA County Sheriff's Department to uphold safety standards.
