Job summary

USC Verdugo Hills Hospital seeks a Security Manager to oversee security personnel and implement the Security Management Plan. The role ensures a safe, secure environment, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations aligned with Keck Medicine of USC's mission.

The Manager will serve on Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness teams, partner with local police, manage budgets, and lead security system initiatives to mitigate risks and protect assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; emphasis in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Criminology, Communications or Business Administration preferred.
• Education may be substituted by 3+ years of Leadership experience.
• 3+ years must have experience in security, parking, emergency management or related field.
• 2+ years in supervisory or managerial level, preferably in healthcare.
• 2+ years in progressively responsible security systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security personnel and implementation of the Security Management Plan.
• Maintain a safe, secure and threat-free environment and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Glendale Police Department and LA County Sheriff's Department for safety and security.
• Report to the Director of Facilities & Security/Environmental Services and support Keck Medicine of USC strategic goals.
