Job summary

Required certifications include Guard Card, Chemical Agent, California driver’s license, and BLS. Strong communication, problem solving, and public relations skills are essential to support a safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain current certifications (Guard Card, Chemical Agent, California driver’s license, BLS Certification).
• Ability to express ideas clearly with appropriate vocabulary and spelling.
• Complete continual training classes as required (training provided).
• Establish cooperative relationships with staff, management, and local authorities.
• Independently resolve issues within set policies and procedures.
• Use available resources to solve problems.
• Operate security and general office equipment.
• Communicate professionally in writing or verbally.
• Understand public relations impacts of actions on the organization.
• Assess incidents and plan solutions per guidelines.
• Know Security Program policies and local geography for calls.
• Knowledge of penal and radio codes used in radio communications.
• Physically capable of patrols, restraints, and lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols and document routine activities and incidents.
• Enforce policies and state laws; follow regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure building security after closing; lead on certain duties when required.
