Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring Hospital Security Officers in Dickson, TN. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed patrols in a hospital setting, manage access control, monitor CCTV, and prepare reports. This is a full-time role with 12-hour shifts and a pay rate of $20.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer‑owned vehicle.
• Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable employment history relating to customer service or the protective service industry.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Problem‑solving skills and active listening.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document detailed observations of unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Assist hospital staff with de‑escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized individuals enter and exit the hospital
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required
