Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed for a hospital environment. You will conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access, CCTV and alarms, and prepare clear incident reports to support patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities include assisting with de-escalation, escorting patients as needed, aiding evacuations, and maintaining security logs. A drug screen may be required due to safety-sensitive duties; TB and vaccinations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable customer service or protective service experience.
• Must be 18+ and able to operate radio/telephone equipment.
• Strong communication and reporting skills are essential.
• Ability to assess situations quickly and act appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Perform hospital security patrols on foot or in vehicle and document observations.
• Assist staff with de-escalation and restrain individuals as allowed by policy.
• Transport patients to the morgue when needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to emergency room as required.
• Assist with evacuations during emergencies and incidents.
• Sound alarms or alert authorities for fires or unauthorized access.
• Control entry points to ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Record incidents and maintain logs in compliance with client requirements.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare reports.
