Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed for a hospital setting in Brandon, FL. You will perform patrols by foot or vehicle, monitor access, and assist with de‑escalation while maintaining detailed written reports.

Position requires a valid driver’s license if driving, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts. TB tests and vaccinations may be required, as well as background checks and drug screening where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current driver’s license if operating company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Minimum two years of verifiable customer service or protective service experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old; able to operate radio/monitors.
• Strong communication and written reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document observations.
• Assist staff with de-escalation and restrain as needed following guidelines.
• Transport patients to the morgue when required.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and disasters.
• Sound alarms or summon police/fire department when needed.
• Manage access control; ensure only authorized individuals enter/exit.
• Observe for theft and maintain logs of incidents and observations.
