Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services provider, is hiring an Unarmed Security Professional for a hospital setting in Florida. You will conduct patrols, monitor CCTV, control access, and deter misconduct in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and at least two years in a related field. Drug screening and TB testing may be required; shifts include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Minimum of two years of verifiable employment history relating to customer service or protective services.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document observations of security concerns or safety hazards.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation and restraining combative individuals as necessary (within policy).
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and disasters.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of emergencies.
• Monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized individuals enter and exit.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and file reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
