Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect patients, visitors, team members and hospital assets. You will perform patrols, access control, incident response, escorts, and comprehensive reporting in a healthcare setting.

The role requires flexibility to work around the clock, ability to work in all weather, and to support de-escalation and safety practices. Florida licensing and CPI/IAHSS certifications are required or pursued within designated timeframes.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Training in de-escalation, workplace violence prevention, customer service, and healthcare security preferred.
• No prior security experience required.
• Experience in healthcare, military, public safety, law enforcement support, corrections, or security-related environments preferred.
• Must obtain Florida Class D Security Officer License within 90 days of hire and CPI within 60 days of hire.

Aufgaben

• Escort visitors, employees, students and authorized people on request.
• Patrol hospital interior and exterior areas 24/7 by foot, bike or vehicle.
• Provide access support for authorized personnel including restricted areas.
• Detect suspicious activity and respond to safety and security concerns.
• Report criminal activity, policy violations and incidents to leadership and law enforcement.
• Investigate accidents, preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and file reports.
• Assist with enforcement of Florida Baker Act and Marchman Act as requested by physicians.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and corrections personnel during patient intake and hospital stays.
• Report safety hazards or violations campus-wide.
• Secure helipad during inbound/outbound helicopter operations and assist with patient movement.
• Operate walk-through and handheld detectors, X-ray machines and other security equipment.
• Maintain punctual attendance and compliance with policies.
