Job summary

Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital is seeking a Security Officer to ensure order, safety, and protection of patients, visitors, staff, and assets. You will patrol facilities 24 hours a day, assist with access control, escort individuals, and respond to emergencies in a healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic Word skills, and training in de-escalation and healthcare security.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word for report writing.
• Training in de-escalation, workplace violence prevention, customer service, and healthcare security practices preferred.
• No prior security experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide escorts for visitors, employees, students, and authorized people upon request.
• Patrol hospital areas 24/7 by foot, bicycle, or vehicle.
• Assist with access control and support in sensitive/restricted areas.
• Detect and respond to safety concerns and incidents.
• Document incidents and prepare reports as needed.
• Coordinate with law enforcement during investigations and emergencies.
