UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca, PA is hiring a Full-Time Security Officer to join our team. In this important role, you’ll help provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

As a Security Officer, you’ll maintain a visible security presence, respond to incidents, monitor alarms, and provide professional service to everyone who enters our facility. PA Act 235 certification and security or law enforcement background are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• PA Act 235 certification encouraged; background in security or law enforcement preferred.
• Ability to interact with diverse individuals and diffuse potential combative situations.

Responsabilités

• Staff fixed posts to monitor ingress/egress.
• Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing parcels to prevent theft.
• Respond to incidents and unusual situations.
• Maintain required certifications and licensing.
• Assist with traffic control and vehicle assists.
• Patrol hospital, buildings, grounds and associated areas.
• Complete all mandatory training programs per departmental guidelines.
• Report and document incidents, hazards and suspicious activities.
