Job summary

The Security Officer I at Maine Medical Center in Scarborough, ME maintains a safe environment through proactive patrols, incident response, policy enforcement, and customer service. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), IAHSS Basic certification within one year, valid driver's license, BLS within 30 days, CPI/NIMS as applicable,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; IAHSS Basic certification required within one year of hire.
• Valid Driver’s license required based on role and location; BLS certification within 30 days of hire; CPI/NIMS 100/200/700 as applicable; proficiency with assigned equipment within 30 days.
• Prior experience in hospital safety or security preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older; ability to respond to behavioral emergencies and assist staff using trained physical intervention techniques.
• Demonstrated customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
