Job summary

Johnson Memorial Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Security Officer to protect patients, staff, and visitors. The role includes patrolling facilities, preventing losses, and responding to hostile situations with trained staff.

The position requires a high school diploma, state security licensing, and the ability to work a day shift. Prior security or military experience is preferred, with the possibility of participating in a restraint team when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• All state licensing requirements including permanent Guard cards.
• Six months or more of private security, law enforcement or relevant military experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PC based applications in a Windows environment.
• Excellent customer services skills. Ability to think and act quickly in crisis situations.
• Valid driver’s license, preferred and must be 21 to operate Hospital vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provides for the safety and security of all persons and property for patients, visitors, and colleagues on hospital campus.
• Assists staff and others with argumentative, belligerent and combative individuals, including possible restraint team participation as directed by medical staff.
• Patrols assigned areas and reports incidents or loss of hospital property.
