Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated seeks a Security Officer for the Martha's Vineyard Hospital campus. The role focuses on creating a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff through patrols, incident reporting, and protective services.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice (preferred), BLS, and an approved driver’s license. Experience in hospital security or customer service is valued; on-site 40-hour weeks with rotating shifts are typical.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Criminal Justice preferred
• Role can accept experience in lieu of a degree
• Class D Driver's License - Generic - HR Only preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• AVADE Workplace Violence Prevention Certification Levels I-III within six months of hire

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas with attention to security problems
• Identify unsafe conditions and unsecured areas to prevent theft or damage
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Investigate thefts and potential criminal misconduct; notify law enforcement when needed
• Prepare and submit complete incident reports; log all events; inform Supervisor
• Respond to calls using security systems and two-way radio; document actions
